.Pistacia Lentisc is a tree species native to the Mediterranean region of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree, usually growing to a height of 3–5 m. The leaves are alternate, stipulate, and pinnate, with leaflets that are oblong-lanceolate in shape. The trees produce small, dark green, edible fruits known as mastic gum or mastic nuts.

.Mastic gum is a resin obtained from the Pistacia Lentisc tree. It has been used since antiquity as a food ingredient, medicine, and perfume. The gum is a hard, glossy, clear substance that can be used as a food additive or flavoring agent. It has a sweet, resinous flavor and a pleasant aroma.

.The mastic tree is also a source of oil, which is obtained by pressing the fruits. This oil is a pale yellow liquid with a pleasant aroma and a slight nutty flavor. It is used in cooking, as a medicinal ingredient, and for its aromatic properties.

.The mastic tree is also a source of tannins, which are extracted from the bark of the tree. Tannins are astringent compounds that have been used since antiquity as a dye, a preservative, and a tanning agent.

.Pistacia Lentisc has been used in traditional herbal medicine for centuries. It is believed to have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties. It is also used to treat digestive disorders, skin conditions, and respiratory ailments.
