Chervil is a delicate, perennial herb with a mild, anise-like flavour. It is one of the four traditional French fines herbes, along with tarragon, chives, and parsley, which are essential ingredients in French cuisine. Chervil is also known as garden chervil, French parsley, and gourmet’s parsley.

Chervil is used to add a light, subtle flavour to soups, salads, vegetables, and egg dishes. Its mild taste is similar to that of tarragon, but more delicate and less pungent. It can also be used to flavour stocks, sauces, and vinaigrettes.

Chervil is also known for its medicinal properties. It is said to be a digestive aid and can be used to treat nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. It is also thought to reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and act as an antispasmodic.

Chervil is a popular ingredient in many dishes, such as omelets, salads, pesto, and other sauces. It is also used as a garnish for soups, salads, and other dishes.

Chervil pairs well with a variety of ingredients, including fish, poultry, and vegetables. It is often combined with other herbs, such as tarragon, chives, parsley, and thyme, to create unique flavour combinations. It can be used fresh, dried, or frozen.
