Helianth Debilis, also known as “Safflower”, is an annual flowering plant native to India and the Mediterranean region. It is a member of the Asteraceae family and is closely related to sunflowers. It has bright yellow and orange petals and a yellow center. Safflower has been grown for centuries in the Middle East, North and Central Africa, and India and is now cultivated throughout the world.

Safflower is a highly valued crop due to its many uses. The seed is a source of oil, which is used for cooking and in the production of paints, varnishes, and cosmetics. The petals are used to produce a yellow dye, which is commonly used in food, fabric, and cosmetics. The oil cake from the seed is also used as a fertilizer and animal feed.

Safflower is a hardy plant and can be grown in a variety of climates, although it prefers warm and dry conditions. It has a long growing season, with flowers appearing from late summer to early fall. The plant is drought tolerant and does not require much fertilizer or water.

Safflower has a high yield and is easy to harvest. The oil can be extracted from the seed by cold pressing or solvent extraction. The petals can be dried and used for dyeing. The oil cake can be used as a fertilizer or animal feed.

Overall, Helianth Debilis is a valuable crop with many uses. Its long growing season, high yield, and easy harvest make it an ideal crop for farmers and gardeners alike. Additionally, its many uses make it a popular choice for both commercial and home applications.
