Matthiola bicornis, also known as stocks, is a unique and beautiful flowering plant that is native to Europe, Asia, and the Mediterranean region. It produces small, fragrant flowers that come in shades of white, pink, purple, and yellow. The flowers have two horns at the top of the petals, which is where the bicornis part of its name comes from.

The plant is easy to grow and is often used for flower beds and borders. It blooms from late spring to early summer. The flowers are edible and can be used in salads, soups, and other dishes. They have a mild, sweet flavor similar to that of a honeydew melon.

Matthiola bicornis seeds are small and round, with a black and white striped pattern. They can be planted directly into the ground or started indoors and then transplanted outdoors. The seeds are slow-growing and will take up to three months to germinate.

This plant is also an excellent choice for container gardening. It is drought tolerant, requires minimal maintenance, and is resistant to disease and pests. It can also be grown in hanging baskets, window boxes, and other types of containers.

Matthiola bicornis is a great addition to any garden or landscape. Its fragrant flowers and easy-care nature make it a popular choice for gardeners. With proper care, this plant can provide years of beauty.
